After my review of the 2013 adizero split shorts, I wasn’t convinced there was anything that could be improved. My sister bought me the 2014 version for my birthday and since then I’ve done 500+ km in them and I can safely say that they are better, mainly due to the elastic waistband at the back. Instead of the tie cord going all the way around, the back features an elasticated flat panel instead, which allows it to sit flush against the back. This makes for added comfort.
There is now a zip pocket, but I’ve never used it.
The colour changes hue all over the shorts which makes it stand out from the crowd.
Overall, a worthy update that I’d recommend.
